Who am I?

         My name is Vasileios (Bill) Sanaidis, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity and Networks. Motivated by a strong personal interest, I have also chosen to pursue a minor in Artificial Intelligence. I maintain a GPA of 3.47 on a 4.0 scale and since the first semester at the college maintain the merit scholarship.

                        I am a cybersecurity researcher at the Research, Technology and Innovation Network (RTIN) Cybersecurity Lab at Deree — The American College of Greece. The focus of my research is on how secure personal information at social media are. How can malicious actors automate the process of data gathering via web scraping technologies in order to perform social engineering attacks and not only.                        Role: Cybersecurity Researcher (Work-Study)

                        I am a cybersecurity researcher at the Research, Technology and Innovation Network (RTIN) Cybersecurity Lab at Deree — The American College of Greece. The lab is part of ACG's strategic R&I initiative, focusing on impactful cybersecurity research addressing critical challenges in information security. My work involves hands-on research in a professional lab environment, contributing to projects aligned with the lab's mission of combining academic research with real-world cybersecurity solutions. My focus of research was on the security of ".so" files and how to further secure them in order to prevent malicious actors gaining access to the program's source code.                        Role: IT Helpdesk/Support Volunteer

                        As an IT Helpdesk & Support Volunteer, I ensured the seamless operation of complex technological environments. My responsibilities included managing Microsoft 365 ecosystems, overseeing Cloud and NAS server security and backups, and maintaining network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewalls).
